Welcome to the official website of the 16th annual statewide competition - the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists Awards - the professional development and recognition program jointly managed by the Central Ohio (Columbus), Cincinnati, and Cleveland pro chapters of the SPJ. Together, we honor the best of Ohio's print, broadcast, online, trade and college journalism.

Ohio's best journalists will be honored in Cleveland on Saturday, October 22, as the Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus professional chapters of SPJ sponsor the 2011 Ohio SPJ Awards Luncheon, 12 noon, at Windows on the River on the west bank of Cleveland's historic Flats district. There will be an elegant brunch buffet with a variety of lunch and breakfast selections.
If you're coming from out-of-town, please bring your family! All registrants from outside of Cleveland will be able to receive a complimentary ticket to one of Cleveland's two major attractions: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, or the Great Lakes Science Center which includes the NASA Glenn Visitors Center.
RSVP and purchase tickets securely online by clicking here. When registering, if you want a ticket to either the Rock Hall or Science Center, please send an email to cleveland@spj.org and indicate the attraction. There's a limited number of tickets, so please don't delay!
If you are staying overnight, there's a block of rooms available at the Doubletree Cleveland Downtown/Lakeside at 1111 Lakeside Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114. The Doubletree is within walking distance of the Rock Hall and Science Center, and a very short drive from Windows on the River.
There is a $3.00 parking charge in the lot next to Windows on the River; there is some free parking available on nearby streets.
